I came across this book the other day. It is full of charm and wry observation, not just of the eternal truths of Venice but human nature also.Nicely produced in small format, on pleasant paper it provides some shrewd and well observed snapshots of Venice.
Iron Press have produced a small gem.

Hidden behind the railway terminus
Clumps of shame-faced automobiles.
